Playfull:

Pompidou Center
Sometimes we like to let our guard down, be less formal and expressive of our inner most workings. We rebel against those structured things we are taught.

Hotel Sale
Musee National Picasso
We are sometimes formal in our presentation to the public with our inter works well out of sight.

Badlands
We are playful and energetic, like to explore new and exciting places and things. Experience the colors, shapes, textures and the way the seasons and the elements interact and help refine an shape with time.

Guggenheim

The whimsical has always fascinated us. We are draw to those things we may not understand but want to explore an see what things we might discover and learn about yourself. Good or bad they keep us involved to improve our understanding of how things work in the built environment.

Mark,

Playful could be an interesting theme to work with -- especially considering some of your examples (Pompidou and the Guggenheim). I think their aesthetic, and to some extent their function, could be argued for as playful, if not downright recreational. I'm not sure how the hotel with it's austere facade fits into the playful scheme?
