Mark,

This is good progress in terms of showing more of the site.

Here are some comments:
- The grave idea is nice and you could give it more substance by showing what exactly you had in mind for the quality of this green public space (where and how do you eat, sit, lay, play, relax?) The hard line drawings alone are not evocative enough.
- on the upper plaza the separation between the areas on or off the accessway to your building is very stark: it reads more diagrammatic that "real".
- The interior layout within the building needs some thought in terms of placing program elements and how they are articulated architecturally. Think about what happens on the perimeter versus the center and how that relates to being the apple store or the restaurant. What happens on the roof gardens?
- The idea of the reflecting pools is great, but they read only as a minor item in the sections. Draw a larger section and annotate/diagram the effect that you want to achieve. Or you draw a site plan showing all the pools in blue to stress their relevance.

Overall you have shown a design for a building without telling us, why it is the way it is and what the overall concept for it is. Please focus this week on generating the analysis and conceptual boards in addition to work on the elevations: these are very important for this class!

Best,
Enno

Hey Mark,
This is much more clearly noted than the previous set of drawings. I'm surprised you cleaned them up so quickly! (great job)

Will you be doing a physical model as well as a sketch-up model to coincide with your plans?

Wow! That's a lot of information and a lot of drawings. Together, they really tell a lot about your design. I agree with Enno in that a little bit of color in some key areas might really help the important features pop-out at the viewer. Consider which areas are most important to your design and find a way to hallmark them.

Mark –

This really helps to understand the site relationship better.

Color would really add a different aspect to it that would help.

I just saw the sketchup model too, that really helps to show what you are getting at.
